Renee has been licensed in New Mexico since 2013 and has represented clients in New Mexico state district courts and in the U.S. District Court in the District of New Mexico. Her primary practice area is litigation defense in the areas of catastrophic personal injury, medical negligence and malpractice, insurance coverage issues, complex civil litigation, construction litigation, professional liability, and commercial litigation. Her practice covers all aspects of the litigation process from the pre-litigation phase, discovery, motion practice, settlement negotiations, and trials.
Before attending law school, Renee was a development coordinator for a New Mexico non-profit generating multimillion-dollar income through grant writing, fundraising, and lobbying at the state level. Renee earned her J.D. in 2012 and was admitted to the State Bar of New Mexico, she worked as an Assistant District Attorney for the Second Judicial District Attorney’s Office in Albuquerque, New Mexico prior to entering civil practice. As a civil litigator, she concentrated her experience on medical negligence, catastrophic personal injury/wrongful death, and professional liability defense. Renee is passionate about representing the healthcare providers and facilities that serve her fellow New Mexicans.
Renee and her husband are empty nesters. She enjoys working with her hands, her hobbies include woodworking, welding, knitting, cooking, and baking.
